Helen Paul, also known as "Tatafo," is a Nigerian comedian, actress, and television host. She was born on January 29, 1978, in Lagos, Nigeria. Helen Paul started her career as a stand-up comedian while studying theatre arts at the University of Lagos.

Helen Paul gained widespread recognition for her role as "Tatafo" in the popular Nigerian radio program "Wetin Dey" on Lagos-based radio station, "Radio Continental." She later transitioned to television, hosting several shows, including "Jara" and "Comedy Time Africa" on Africa Magic.

In addition to her work as a comedian and television host, Helen Paul is also an actress and has appeared in several Nollywood movies. She has won several awards for her acting, including the Best Actress in a Supporting Role award at the African Magic Viewers' Choice Awards in 2016 for her role in the movie "The Department."

Helen Paul is also a philanthropist and has been involved in several charitable causes in Nigeria. She has donated to several causes, including education, healthcare, and women empowerment.

In 2019, Helen Paul made history by becoming the first Nigerian comedian to obtain a Ph.D. She earned her doctorate in Theatre Arts from the University of Lagos, where she had previously earned her bachelor's and master's degrees.
