About Patoranking
Patoranking, whose real name is Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie, is a Nigerian reggae-dancehall singer and songwriter. He was born on May 27, 1990 in Ijegun-Egba, Lagos State, Nigeria. Patoranking grew up in Ebute Metta, Lagos State, where he attended Citizen Comprehensive College in Epe, Lagos.
Patoranking's music career started in 2010 when he released his debut single "So Nice". He gained widespread attention in 2013 after releasing his hit single "Alubarika" which featured Timaya. The song received massive airplay and was a commercial success in Nigeria.
In 2014, Patoranking signed a record deal with Foston Musik and released his debut album "God Over Everything" in 2016. The album featured hit songs such as "No Kissing Baby" featuring Ghanaian artist Sarkodie, "This Kind Love" featuring Wizkid, and "My Woman, My Everything" featuring Wande Coal.
Patoranking has won several awards for his music including the Nigeria Entertainment Award for Best Reggae/Dancehall Single in 2014 and 2015, the MTV Africa Music Award for Best New Act in 2014, and the African Muzik Magazine Award for Best Dancehall Artist in 2015.
Aside from music, Patoranking is also a philanthropist. He established the Patoranking Foundation in 2017, which is focused on providing educational and healthcare support to underprivileged children in Africa.
Patoranking has become one of the most successful reggae-dancehall artists in Nigeria and Africa as a whole. He continues to release hit songs and perform at concerts and events around the world.
